Japanese woodblock prints, known as ukiyo-e (“pictures of the floating world”), are vibrant, mass-produced artworks depicting many subjects , patterns and calligraphy created by carving separate designs into woodblocks (often Cherry) applying water-based inks and pressing onto paper. A technique that influenced Western art and continues today.
Our original woodblock prints are imported directly from Japan. We present them in solid core, ivory, Larson Juhl conservation quality mountboard.
